What Your Birth Chart Knows About Your Business That Your Coach Doesn’t

Business coaching has a blind spot for the parts of you that aren’t operations. Your coach has your calendar, your P&L, and your “I’m an INFJ Three with a Projector authority” Instagram bio. None of that explains why you keep making the same decision wrong at the same stage of your business.

The problem is that every one of those tests is self-reported. You answer questions about how you think you show up, and you get results that match what you already know. The energies working under the surface don’t show up — because you’re too close to see them, and none of it tells your coach what to actually ask you about.

So the next time you have to decide whether to launch the thing or hold back, you still freeze. You ask three friends, ignore their advice, go with your gut, and later wonder why your gut keeps picking wrong.

You think you just need to know yourself better. You hit repeat. And this isn’t your fave 90’s Salt ‘n Pepa mix you’re repeating — it’s business decisions making an impact on your life, and it’s time to see what’s happening underneath.

The tests above just aren’t big enough for the person you actually are. So I built one that is: Meet You Inc — a free app that reads your birth chart as the staff running YOU Inc. We’ll get to how it works, and the story of why it exists, in a bit. First, let’s talk about why the tests you’ve already taken keep leaving you stuck.

Why personality frameworks are useful but not enough

Most personality tools answer one question each.

  • Myers-Briggs answers what energizes you.
  • Enneagram answers what drives you under stress.
  • Human Design answers how you make decisions energetically.
  • CliftonStrengths answers what you’re naturally good at.

All useful questions. All narrow questions.

Business decisions aren’t single-question moments. When you’re deciding whether to launch, you’re processing strategy, risk, timing, cash, identity, market, and seven other variables at once — and each one needs a different part of your judgment to show up. A framework that answers one question can tell you how you tend to lean. It can’t tell you which part of you should take the next decision in the specific moment you’re in.

That’s not the framework’s failure, it’s the framework’s design. They do what they do well. They’re just not as multi-dimensional as you are as a human.

Your birth chart is.

What a birth chart maps that nothing else does

A birth chart is the exact placement of all the planets, including the moon and sun, at the moment of your birth.

It reads you against a twelve-house framework — a fancy way of saying it maps twelve different domains of your experience at once: communication, money, home, creativity, work, relationships, resources, identity, beliefs, career, community, and the stuff you can’t quite name.

Which means a chart doesn’t answer one question. It answers twelve. Every planet is read against the house (department) it landed in and the sign (personality) it was in when it landed there.

  • Mars in your tenth house in Capricorn is your action employee working in your career department with a disciplined, ambitious, long-game flavor.
  • Venus in your second house in Scorpio is your value employee working in your money department with a deep, intense, “we don’t play small” flavor.

That’s twelve functional snapshots of a person running one person’s twelve-department business. More than any single-question framework can give you, no matter how good that framework is at answering its one question.

I was a total astrology skeptic until this happened

I know. I was too.

My sun sign is Scorpio — November baby — and I never really felt the Scorpio horoscopes matched me. But I’ve always loved personality tests and figuring out why people do what they do, so a while back I got into Human Design. Turns out Human Design is pulled from the same birth data as a birth chart. It felt more accurate than anything I’d self-reported on, and I wanted to understand why.

A friend who knew my chart asked me to think back on three specific dates over the past 18 months: November 2024, August 2025, and May 2026 (when she was asking). Her question was whether anything significant happened then, because my chart was showing an 18-month cycle of chaos and rebuilding was coming to a close right then in May.

I was speechless. Because those three dates were:

  • November 2024 — a huge unforeseen crack happened in my life that shook me.
  • August 2025 — my life got ripped apart at the seams.
  • May 2026 — my life was settling, phoenix rising from the ashes, new beginning I was excited about.

She saw all of that in my chart.

I was sold. My hyperfixation kicked in, and I spent months reading books on this crazy, complex-AF language of astrology. Then I started reading my friends’ charts, and even the ones who think astrology is nonsense would hear me read aspects of theirs and go, “damn, how are you in my head?”

Why this works even if you don’t “believe in” astrology

The birth chart works as a map, independent of whether the mechanism behind it is spiritual, metaphorical, or coincidental. People who’ve used it as a frame for decades consistently report that the mapping is accurate — which is the only test that actually matters for whether a tool is useful.

You can treat the output as a detailed personality assessment that happens to use planets as the input and still get full value from it. The question isn’t whether you believe. It’s whether you’re willing to try the frame long enough to see whether the output tracks with what you already know about yourself.

For most people, it does. The parts that don’t track immediately usually resolve into “oh, that’s a part of me I haven’t been paying attention to.”

Why your exact birth TIME matters more than you think

Most of your chart is the same if you pull it for the same day. But one very important part is determined by the time you took your first breath — not just the date. Zodiac signs change about every two hours as the sky rotates, which means the character sitting in each department of your business can be a completely different personality if your time is off by even an hour or two.

Here’s how it shows up. Virgo and Libra sit right next to each other on the zodiac wheel.

  • A Virgo Taskmaster shows up detail-oriented, procedural, perfectionist — “did we double-check that spreadsheet before the meeting.”
  • A Libra Taskmaster shows up relational, harmony-seeking — “can we get everyone on board before we commit.”

Same role in your business. Completely different attitudes. Completely different behavior from your team.

If your birth time is off by two hours, you can end up reading the chart of the person next to you instead of yourself. The reading will be close but it’ll never quite feel right. Not being specific about this is exactly why I never felt astrology was real — until it was too real. It comes down to the time.

Before you run MYI or any other chart-based tool, pull out your actual birth certificate. Not an estimate from your mom. The paper document with the time printed on it.

Meet You Inc

Once I saw my own chart in business terms, I started wondering how to help other people see it without having to ADHD-hyperfocus for four months on a personality test.

I tested the idea with a few online marketing friends. All intrigued. But the astrology lingo was too much (“Your Venus is in Libra in the first house”) when what they actually needed was “people feel calm around you and you radiate acceptance and beauty as your first impression.”

Then I saw a reel of an astrologer giving personalities to the energy of the planets based on which zodiac sign they land in. I took that spark farther: what if there was a whole company in your head — departments, employees, strong personalities running your day-to-day — and you got introduced to the staff?

That became Meet You Inc — a free app that shows you the personalities of the employees running YOU Inc, in language anyone in business can map.

Here’s how mine started:

Welcome to Becca Inc.

The front door opens.

The lobby looks good. Not trying to look good. It just somehow does.

The woman at the front desk has already adjusted the spacing on the welcome sign, moved a chair four inches because the room felt weird, and made sure whoever walks in immediately feels like they belong here.

Meanwhile, somewhere behind her, Finance has become an investigative unit.

There are four people working in there.

Four.

Marketing, meanwhile, is extremely competent and has enough material to work with for approximately the next six months.

And yet someone has just walked into the conference room and announced:

“Okay, but what if we changed the offer?”

From somewhere deep in the building:

“FOR FUCK’S SAKE.”

Welcome to Becca Inc.

And yes. We are going to need to talk about that.

Now, dear internet friend, you have insight into why I’m a brilliant strategist and great marketer — and why I keep getting in my own way by tweaking the damn offer. The “FOR FUCK’S SAKE”? I felt that in my bones.

A friendly disclaimer before the astrologers come at me with pitchforks

MYI is not a full astrological reading. It focuses on the departments, the employees, and the personalities running your business — the parts of the chart that translate most cleanly into “who’s on your inner team.” It doesn’t dig into aspects, transits, nodes, progressions, or the hundred other layers a real astrologer looks at.

That’s on purpose. MYI is designed to give you insights and aha moments you can actually use in your business this week — not a full life read.

If you want the deeper, full-chart version after you run MYI (and honestly, you probably will), go find an actual astrologer. One I love is Nadia Theron — @nadianeurospicyastrology on Instagram. She’s brilliant.

The three business questions you’ll now have answers to

  • Which part of me should be making this decision? The chart maps twelve roles with different domains. The decision tells you which role to invite in. Launches want the Visionary. Pricing wants the Protector. Hiring wants the Guide.
  • Why do I keep hitting the same wall at the same stage? Repeated patterns usually point to one of your roles overfunctioning or underfunctioning, or a whole department being empty. Chart data makes the pattern visible, which is the first step to redistributing the load.
  • What’s the version of my business that actually fits me? Most businesses are built around a borrowed template of what success should look like. Chart data tells you which parts of the standard template will energize your actual staff and which parts will drain them — which lets you redesign toward sustainability.

How I use chart data with clients

In Personal Brand Coaching, if clients are willing, I use chart data as one input among several — alongside what the business is doing, what the client’s referrers say, and what the market is responding to. It’s not the whole picture. It’s a specific lens that answers questions no other input can answer, and when it’s layered with the strategic and messaging work, the clarity it produces is faster than any other combination I’ve tried.

If you want to see what chart data looks like applied to your business before working with anyone, that’s what Meet You Inc is for. It takes about ten minutes, outputs a structured reading plus a PDF, and gives you a frame you can use the next time you hit a decision point.

What to do next

  • Curious whether chart data has anything useful to say about your business → try Meet You Inc (free, 10 minutes).
  • Want to work this frame into your brand and your decisions over time → Personal Brand Coaching.
  • Want strategic clarity done for you 1:1 → Brand Compass.

FAQ

Isn’t astrology just confirmation bias?

Any assessment tool runs on some version of this, including Myers-Briggs and Enneagram. The real question isn’t whether confirmation bias is involved — it’s whether the output is useful. For most people who try chart data with an open frame, the output pays for itself inside a few decisions, which is the only test that matters for a decision tool.

What if I can’t find my actual birth time?

Start with your birth certificate (long-form, not the wallet-size version). If that’s lost, your state’s vital records office can usually pull it. If that fails, an astrologer can do what’s called a rectification, which reverse-engineers your likely birth time from major life events. Not cheap, but accurate. Without a real time, you can still get value from the planet and sign placements that don’t depend on time, but the house placements (which run the “departments” of your business) will be guesses.

How is this different from a general astrology reading?

A general reading tries to describe you broadly across life. A business-specific reading narrows the chart’s output to the twelve functional roles that run a business, and reports back in business language, not spiritual language. The input is the same chart. The output is tuned for the question you actually have.

How does this relate to Human Design?

Human Design is pulled from the same birth data as a birth chart (plus the location of the planets three months before your first breath). Human Design emphasizes how you process energy and your decision-making authority. The birth chart approach that drives MYI emphasizes personality — who’s on your inner team, what each character’s job is, what flavor they bring to the work. If you already know your Human Design, you have half the chart. MYI reads the other half.

Do I need to understand astrology to get value from this?

No. MYI reads the chart and reports back in plain language about which part of you handles which function. You don’t need to know what a trine or a conjunction or a stellium is. You just have to be willing to see what the output says and notice whether it tracks with what you already know about yourself.

Will knowing my chart lock me in or box me in?

No. Knowing your chart is like knowing your team. You still get to decide what to do with the information, who to lean on, who to hire support around. The chart maps who’s at work. You decide how you run the business they show up to.
