Beth and Rusty are such an enjoyable couple. They come from different backgrounds and different upbringings, she growing up in Seattle and him in rural rural Montana. Their lives brought them both to Washington DC, her to follow her love of politics, and him for his love of music. They met at a bar, him reading a book, and her searching for a cupcake to surprise her friend with, and once they started talking they just couldn’t stop.
Fast forward some years to August 12, 2011 they brought their family and friends together, many from Washington DC, Montana and North Dakota to the shores of Puget Sound to commit themselves to each other in front of the majestic backdrop of the Olympic mountains (Beth’s utmost favorite part of growing up here) at Ray’s Boathouse in Ballard.
The entire day was beautiful, from the organized chaos that is 7 women getting ready for a wedding, to the moment Rusty looking dapper in his suit and snazzy shoes seeing Beth looking radiant in one of the funnest and most beautiful wedding dresses I’ve seen. All the way to the boys sharing drinks at the bar before the ceremony and the beautiful Seattle sunset (what happens when it isn’t overcast ?!?!) joined with 80 of their most favorite people in the world. The day couldn’t have been more beautiful which matches them to a T.
Congrats Beth and Rusty… and your way of saying thank you to your guests is one of my most favorites as well… a synchronized Kazoo song!
